Cuvée Louis Ferrari

Discover the New Louis Ferrari Cuvée: A Tribute to Our Heritage and Terroir

It is with heartfelt emotion that we share this news with you. This is not merely a name change; it is a celebration of our family heritage and the values that have guided us for over 80 years.

Starting with the 2022 vintage, our "Grand Vin Blanc" cuvée will be renamed "Louis Ferrari," in honor of the first generation of the Ferrari family, who acquired the Malherbe estate in 1940.

Louis Ferrari, committed to preserving nature, made the forward-thinking decision to ban the use of synthetic pesticides and herbicides, aiming to prevent any risk of marine pollution during heavy rains. This choice not only protected our land but also the marine environment, which was essential to the coastal fishing activities practiced at the estate at that time.

Renaming this cuvée "Louis Ferrari" is our way of paying tribute to the first generation and to those that followed, all deeply connected to the land and the sea, with a shared determination to preserve this exceptional place. It is also a symbolic gesture linking the past and the future, and a promise to continue cultivating our vines with sincerity, respect, and authenticity.

The "Louis Ferrari" cuvée comes exclusively from parcel n°22, located on the high slopes of the Malherbe terroir. This predominantly schistous soil, enriched with a touch of clay, allows the Rolle and Sémillon grape varieties to fully express their finesse, producing elegant, fresh wines marked by a beautiful minerality.

We hope you will find a bit of Louis Ferrari’s spirit in this cuvée and that his name will resonate with you as a symbol of authenticity, respect for the terroir, and shared passion. Thank you for continuing to be a part of this journey with us. Together, let’s celebrate the family heritage and the bright future of Château Malherbe.
